Damaged sign reported to MyWiltshire over two years ago, STILL not repaired
As this sign has still not been repaired, a request for a review/update has been submitted using the MyWiltshire app. 17 March 2025. Footpath News
Repairs have recently been made to the footpath near Mill Lane pedestrian bridge. A request for an improvement was made in April 2024 using the MyWiltshire app. The path had sunk in places and groundwater was not draining away, making the path impassable at times. Theft of precious jewels from Louvre may include the 'Pitt Diamond' UPDATE
The Louve has now listed the jewels stolen and the crown of Empress Eugenie was lifted but damaged and left behind. Sarum Master Bible - a talk by Dr Christopher de Hamel
A talk 'The Sarum Master Bible' by Dr Christopher de Hamel will take place at Salisbury Cathedral on 20 October at 7.30 pm (doors open at 7pm). There will not be a charge for the talk but tickets must be booked in advance due to limited capacity - details are on the cathedral's website. Ashley Road 'parallel' crossing - cycle lane obstructed again
The surface on the cycle path near Ashley Road has been removed and will be replaced by a non-skid surface. News from 27 September The image above left, taken on Saturday 27 September, shows the crossing back in operation. Cyclists now have priority over motorists at this point, and do not legally have to dismount.
