These images were taken near Mill Lane bridge on 9 February and sent to the website with the comment "Normal wellington boots are barely suitable now."

The 'old' boardwalk at w3w// detect.nodded.filled was underwater and impassable even in wellingtons as it was not possible to see the depth of the water beyond this point.
The image was taken from the Avon Valley Nature Reserve end, looking north towards Stratford sub Castle.

The footpath on the approach to Mill Lane bridge is underwater.

The fields around Dean Farm & Parsonage Farm are waterlogged and there's groundwater around the gateways.
Conditions on 25 January 2026. Although there was not a flood warning in force this morning, the conditions observed on a walk belied that fact! Pictures speak louder than words, so here are some examples of the conditions between 9 am and 10 am. Walking boots or wellingtons are definitely recommended!

Flooding over the riverbank and into a garden. This was a clue to conditions to be expected elsewhere.

The Stratford end of the old boardwalk was underwater.
An alternative route is to make a right-angle turn here & follow the hedge/field boundary to the hedgeline at the top of the field. Then turn left through the open gateway and walk parallel to the boardwalk for a few hundred feet to the end of that field. Then turn left to join the boardwalk at the next junction near the allotments. However, even this alternative route was very waterlogged (image right).

Once on the boardwalk, some stretches were flooded.
Good to see that the new paths around the River Park project were all dry.
