Old Castle Road closure 30 March - 2 April for resurfacing
If you use this route to access the Castle Hill Country Park, Ford, or further afield, note that it will be closed for resurfacing from Monday 30 March to Thursday 2 April. Expect delays along Castle Road on 30 & 31 March as there will be temporary two-way traffic lights on Castle Road to provide safe access for maintenance vehiciles.

Ashley Road 'parallel' crossing - cycle lane obstructed again
The surface on the cycle path near Ashley Road has been removed and will be replaced by a non-skid surface. News from 27 September The image above left, taken on Saturday 27 September, shows the crossing back in operation. Clearing & cleaning by Wiltshire Council
Wiltshire Council's yellow 'Parish Steward' vans appear to be visiting our area more frequently. The purpose of a visit today was to cut back the hedge that was obscuring a sign near Mill Lane, followed by a clean-up of the sign with a wet cloth. The hedge engulfing the 30 mph signs between Stratford Bridge and the church was similarly cleared a couple of weeks ago. Disposing of flimsy plastic film
If you have received a magazine by post, it may have been enclosed in flimsy plastic. A message on a recent mailing from the National Trust said: " Please do not put this wrapper in your plastic recycling bin or with your general domestic waste.
