News from Wiltshire Council by email 2 May 2025


Wiltshire has 98 Unitary Divisions, each with one seat which means there are 98 Unitary councillors in total. The number of councillors elected for each party or group is as follows:

The result means no party is in overall control of Wiltshire Council. 


The turnout for Wiltshire was 36.19%.

If you plan to cast your vote at a polling station, remember to take some form of photo indentifcation with you. Examples/details are here:


Election Day is Thursday 1 May 2025 and the polling stations will be open from 7 am until 10 pm. There will be two separate ballot papers for the Wiltshire Council and the Salisbury City Council elections. Voters will choose one candidate to represent them on Wiltshire Council and up to three candidates for Salisbury City Council.
