Fanny Nelson - the forgotten wife

If you missed the Guild talk in March 2025 about Fanny Nisbet, whose second husband was Admiral Lord Nelson, you may be interested to know that the speaker on that occasion, Christine Mason, will be giving a talk 'Fanny Nelson- the Forgotten Wife' on Monday 13 July at 10.00 at the Memorial Hall, Harnham SP2 8JH


The talk has been organised by Spire U3A and is open and free to members of any U3A group spire.u3asite.uk

 

Viscountess Frances Nelson’s first husband was Dr Josiah Nisbet, she raised a plaque to him on his death in 1781. It is on the south wall of the chancel of St Lawrence Church.
