Wiltshire Council is inviting residents to give Feedback on the changes that have been announced to waste and recycling services. The changes are being made to improve sustainability and provide value for money.
Here’s what’s coming:
More recycling at home: Weekly food waste collections and fortnightly plastic bag and wrapping collections.
Less general waste: With more recycling, household waste collections will move from every two weeks to every three weeks.
Household Recycling Centre (HRC) changes: Purton and Lower Compton HRCs will close, but they will remain open whilst work is undertaken to progress the new facility in the north of the county. Read more in our budget update and see our Household Recycling Centre FAQs.
An online booking system pilot at some of our HRCs: To reduce queues and improve safety, some HRCs will pilot an online booking system.
This survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help shape how services are introduced and how best Wiltshire Council can provide support .
