Wiltshire Council & Ramblers replace two Stratford stiles with kissing gates

Today, Monday 16 July, volunteers from South Wiltshire Ramblers working under the direction of Wiltshire Council Rights-of-Way Officers have replaced two stiles with kissing gates on footpath SALS 6 which runs across Deans Farm field. Cattle, including a bull, had been grazing in that field but were moved before the teams arrived!


Temperatures today were particularly warm and the teams were happy to pause for an icecream break. These images demonstrate their contribution to making our local footpaths more accessible.

South Wiltshire Ramblers is part of Ramblers UK, a national charity that supports local group activities including regular walks of between 5 and 15 miles, and social events.
