Local 'Wellbeing Walks' 2026

The latest programme for two grades of local guided walks - Footsteps to Fitness and Doorstep Walks - confirming dates from January to Aoril 2026, has been published.


Organised by Ramblers Wellbeing Walks - Salisbury, the initiative is supported by Salisbury City Council.



Local meeting points include Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre, Castle Inn, and VIctoria Park.


'Footsteps to Fitness' are 30 minute walks suitable for new walkers, those recovering from illness or surgery or anyone who lives alone and wants to get out and meet new people.

These Friday walks all start at 10 am from the coffee kiosk in Victoria Park:

2 & 16 January

6 & 20 February

6 & 20 March

3 & 17 April


'Doorstep Walks' are 45-60 minute walks over mainly level ground and are suitable for those who wish to maintain their level of fitness or increase fitness after illness or injury. Some Doorstep Walks extend to 90 minutes for those looking for more challenging walks to increase their level of fitness.

These walks are all on Thursdays starting at 10 am

8 January from Old Castle Inn

22 January from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre

19 February from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre

19 March from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre

16 April from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
