'Toad crossing' at Little Durnford

There is a sign at Little Durnford indicating that the 'Toad Patrol' has been in the area recently.


At sunset on mild, damp evenings from mid-February to early April, the normally solitary toad will suddenly join with hundreds of other toads and march back to their ancestral breeding ponds.
