Studio Theatre - A Christmas Carol - Early Bird tickets now available
Christmas and ghost stories never go out of fashion and Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is probably the most famous of them all. This adaptation is by Patrick Barlow (who brought the hit comedy version of The 39 Steps to the stage), runs at Studio Theatre from 4th - 12th December. Tickets are on sale from 12th October.
Ebenezer Scrooge is mean-spirited, miserly and not about to change his ways - until one Christmas Eve and a series of ghostly visitors. A handful of actors play many parts from Tiny Tim to long-dead Marley. There will be dancing at Fezziwig's party, lots of carol-singing, puppets and a happy ending.
The age guidance of 10+ reflects the harsh times of Victorian England and includes paranormal activity - but nothing too scary.
Content advisory: use of haze, smoke, flashing lights and loud noises.
Please take careful note of timings for ‘A Christmas Carol’ as they differ from our usual performance runs, to allow for additional matinées.
Performances will be 4th December and 8th - 11th December at 7.30pm and matinées on 5th, 6th and 12th December at 3pm.
Early bird tickets are £13 until midnight on 25th October (£15 thereafter) and £8 for children aged 16 and under. The good news is that the family ticket is back for this show allowing entry for two adults and two children aged 16 and under for £40.
