The main purpose of our cafés is to provide the opportunity to get together for a chat and, especially for new residents, to get to know their neighbours, so we do hope that you will join us at our July café, which will be open from 2.30pm until 4.30pm, in the Reading Room, Stratford Road SP1 3LL (opposite St Lawrence Church).

Also, we are always happy for new volunteers (male & female) to join us and help at  the cafés, therefore, if you would like more information about what’s involved, please do not hesitate to contact me. You will be most welcome.

Once again, our famous cream teas, savoury alternative and delicious homemade cakes will be waiting to tempt you, as well as our popular seasonal garden & kitchen produce stall, with plants, jams & chutneys, and our pre-loved book stall. Please note that we can only accept cash payments.

Proceeds from the July café will be donated to Salisbury Mothers’ Union Virtual Baby Project life skills initiative. It provides young people with computer-programmed “virtual babies” that demand realistic care, teaching them the vital basics of parenting and childcare.

CONTACTS – for anyone wishing to donate produce or books.

Previous Café

We had another busy afternoon for our June café, with proceeds matching the previous month, which meant we were able to donate £635 to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Next month our café will be on Sunday 2nd August, with proceeds being donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

We all look forward to seeing you again at one of our great summer Sunday cafés.
