For our July café the sun peeped through now and again and the threatening rain held off, which meant we had a lively, busy café with proceeds amounting to £453 being donated to Swindon Mentoring & Self-Help Project, who have a presence at Salisbury District Hospital.
We are hoping our luck holds for our
3 August café so that you can continue to enjoy our delicious homemade cakes and cream teas or our savoury cheese scones.
As always, our kitchen/garden produce and pre-loved books tables will be offering more bargain buys. (Cash Payments only please.)
To boost our supplies of garden/ kitchen produce, or paperback novels, we would appreciate your donations. Please liaise with the contacts listed below, or bring items along on the day at the start of the café.
Proceeds from our August café will be donated to Community Transport South Wiltshire, which provides a lifeline that helps relieve loneliness and isolation for people unable to get out and about from their homes. They provide door-to-door transport for things like a trip to the shops, hairdressers, medical and hospital appointments or simply to visit family and friends.
