After a summer break, our 2026-27 season will begin on Wednesday 9 September. Full details of our new programme will be published in the September edition of the Parish magazine and here on the village website.

The Guild is a friendly group that meets on the 2nd Wednesday** of each month from September to June for a varied programme of talks and social events. Recent topics have included ‘The Woman who saved the Nation’, ‘Responding to Disasters’, ‘Artificial Intelligence – the future is now’ and ‘From Script to Screen’. Reviews of all meetings are available to read here on the village website.

** Meetings are held in the Reading Room, Stratford Road, (opposite St Lawrence Church) on Wednesday evenings starting at 7.30 pm and ending about 9.00 pm - exceptions being Thursday 14 January and 11 February which are afternoon meetings starting at 2 pm.

After the talks there is tea or coffee, biscuits and time for a chat. It’s a great way to meet up with your neighbours, and for those new to the village, to make new friends. The Annual subscription is £15, visitors £5 per meeting and includes refreshments.

The Guild is open to everyone and we are happy to welcome new members and visitors throughout the season. For more information or to join us please contact: Jenny Stone phone 07511 226828 or email jstraceystone@hotmail.com
