Stratford sub Castle Garden Club

The AGM of the club was held on 25 June in Judy & Charles Villiers garden, in a welcome shady part! The meeting was attended by 19 people.

The Programme Secretary's report given by Jeff Long showed that attendance at meetings remained 25 – 35. The programme for the year had been well received and enjoyed.

The Open Gardens had been a success as previously reported. Jeff is standing down from the role of Programme Secretary and as a committee member,  but has booked all speakers for the coming year.

This coming year is the 40^th of the club.  Our first meeting of the season is on Thursday 24 September 7.30pm in the Reading Room. The speaker will be Laura Hall – her subject “Creating sustainable wildlife features in your garden”.

Those of you who came to “Open Gardens” will remember her lovely garden.

We look forward to seeing you at this meeting.

The AGM closed with thanks to Judy & Charles for their hospitality and refreshments, and Jeff was given a gift in thanks for his work on the committee.

Annual membership of the Garden Club is £18, with a charge of £4 per meeting for visitors (includes refreshments).
