Following concerns about the failure of some dog owners to clean up after their dogs, Salisbury City Council has displayed notices at the entrances to Hudson's Field, to remind owners of their responsibilities.
Owned and maintained by Salisbury City Council, Hudson's Field is located between Stratford Road and Castle Road and is open to to the public to walk around and for other recreational uses. It's a great place to fly a kite or throw a frisbie, or for children to learn to ride a bike.
Rugby and Football Clubs hold matches and training sessions on the pitches and a recent Facebook post drew attention to the measures that parents have to take before play can commence - a very unpleasant task when dealing with such quantities and days' old faeces.

After approaching a councillor for our local St Francis & Stratford Ward, this issue has been added to the agenda for a forthcoming meeting of the Environmental Services Committee.

'Pick up after your Pup' was the message from Salisbury City Council yesterday.
"Let's keep Salisbury's parks, open sapces and sport pitches clean, safe and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Salisbury City Council has previously issued Fixed Penalties of £75 to offenders.
