Overnight closure of Castle Roundabout and adjoining A36 sections from 3-11 August

National Highways has given notice that overnight closures will take place from 3-12 August weekdays only between 20:00 and 06:00 the following day, affecting Castle Roundabout, Castle Road, and the A36 ringroad between St Marks Roundabout and St Pauls Roundabout.

"This summer we are completing our work to upgrade the traffic signals and moving on to the resurfacing work for our scheme at Castle, St Paul’s and St Mark’s roundabouts.

We'll be resurfacing the A36 Wilton Road from Bemerton through to and including St Paul’s and Castle roundabouts.

Our work will also include resurfacing sections of pavements and replacing kerb stones.

The temporary yellow road closure sign placed near Castle Roundabout give the closure dates as 3 - 11 August. It would be safe to assume that the roads will be reopened at 06:00 on 12 August following closure the previous night (I think....!)
