If you have received a magazine by post, it may have been enclosed in flimsy plastic. A message on a recent mailing from the National Trust said:

"Please do not put this wrapper in your plastic recycling bin or with your general domestic waste. Most councils provide garden and food waste bins, please check with your local council if you're unsure."

A different 'provider' advised that the film could go with garden waste.

Wiltshire Council was asked to comment and this was their response:

"These types of plastic bags can be recycled at major supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and others, or taken to your local household recycling centre.

However, the company that produced the plastic should take responsibility for its disposal. We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to check whether they have a recycling scheme in place."
