What a wonderfully dry and sunny morning for the annual Christmas Eve Crib Service at St Lawrence Church, Stratford sub Castle.
Revd Suzie welcomed everyone to the outdoor Service where the Nativity story was re-enacted by children representing Mary and Joseph, and a good number of costumed shepherds and wise men. Carols and prayers at each step of the journey encouraged participation by all those present. A donkey, ponies, and camels from nearby Little Durnford added considerable atmosphere to the occasion.
An offering basket was made available to accept donations to support the Chaplain at Stratford Primary School.
