Stratford Summer Café Sunday 4 May

Come along and join us at the Reading Room, Stratford Road SP1 3LL (opposite St Lawrence Church) on

Sunday 4 May between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm.

We will be decked out in commemorative VE Day 80th Anniversary banners and bunting.

There will be an overhead slide show and 1940’s music to set the mood.

Feel free to come dressed in the style of the day, but I can assure you there will be no rationing!

That means you can make the most of our delicious homemade cakes, cream teas, or savoury equivalent, before bagging a bargain pre-loved book and/or something from our garden/kitchen produce table.   (Cash Payments only please.)

All proceeds from the May café will be donated to our chosen charity HELP FOR HEROES which, I am sure you are aware, provides veterans with carefully tailored and holistic support for their physical and mental health, along with their welfare and social needs.
