Stratford sub Castle Cafés

The Summer Cafés take place once a month on a Sunday (usually from May through to September) in the Reading Room (opposite St Lawrence Church) where there is plenty of free parking available. Sunday Opening Times are 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

There is also a Christmas Café on a Saturday in December, opening time 11 am to 2.30 pm.

Proceeds from each café are donated to a local charity.

Stratford sub Castle Summer Sunday Cafés 2020

I am sure you are all aware by now of the advice from central Government regarding Coronavirus and the need to avoid unnecessary social contact for a period of 12 weeks (as at 16/3/2020).

By the time you read this it is likely that events have changed and further advice/restrictions will be in place.

With that in mind, we have taken the decision to delay the start of our café season. That means that the May and June cafés will definitely be cancelled, but we will review the situation nearer the time to decide if we can open from July onwards. Our team of volunteers will be prepared and ready for action as soon as it is safe for us to open, therefore, please look out for updates in the forthcoming Parish Magazines, here on our village website or on our village noticeboard. Street posters will also be visible along Stratford Road displaying opening dates and times.

In the meantime, I hope you all stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing you once we get through this difficult period.

All good wishes,

Barbara Mayall  (Café co-ordinator.)
