2021 STRATFORD SUMMER SUNDAY CAFÉ - REVIEW
We may have been back for one month only in September but what a triumph!
You came in your droves, highlighting just how much this community event has been missed during the last couple of years.
We were delighted to see so many regular faces, as well as a number of new residents who came along to get to know people. The weather was glorious and ensured that everyone was able to take full advantage of the additional seating in the garden.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who either helped, contributed or came along, to make this café such an outstanding success. The origin of the cafés (which started in 2013) was to provide somewhere for the community to come together, to meet people and have a chat over a cuppa and you certainly did that in September. As an added benefit, we donate any monies raised to smaller local charities.
The September café proceeds, totalling £350, have been donated to Salisbury & District Talking Newspapers. Keeping people in touch with what’s happening in the local community is vital, so for those who are blind or visually impaired the Talking Newspapers do just that and feature all the weekly news from the Salisbury Journal.
LOOKING AHEAD - We anticipate being able to hold our popular
Lunchtime Festive Christmas Café on Saturday 4th December,
so make a note in your diary now so you don’t miss out. Further details will be available in November.
