Stratford Cafés

The Summer Cafés take place once a month on a Sunday (usually from May through to September) in the Reading Room (opposite St Lawrence Church) where there is plenty of free parking available. Sunday Opening Times are 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

There is also a Christmas Café on a Saturday in December, opening time 11 am to 2.30 pm.

Proceeds from each café are donated to a local charity.

Summer Café Update - 18 October 2019

As mentioned at the start of the café season, half of the summer café proceeds have been set aside in a holding fund (amounting to £812.80) for a community project. Unfortunately, no projects were suggested by our community, therefore, we have decided to split the fund equally and donate the money to each of the five charities we supported during the summer.

Christmas Café - Saturday 7th December 2019, 11.00am to 2.30pm

We have received a request from SSC Primary School for a donation to help fund their Outdoor Classroom Project. The school started their project in 2017, to enable them to revamp the school’s pond area and build a space for all weather, outdoor learning. It will link the pond area and provide a multi-functional learning area and it will be surrounded by planters for gardening. So far, they have secured funding of £9000, but they still need to raise a further £2000.

We have, therefore, agreed to donate the proceeds from the Christmas Café to the school’s Outdoor Classroom Project.
