Remembrance Sunday fell on 11 November in 2018 and was the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1.  In addition to the usual church service, the Friends of St Lawrence Church staged an exhibition in the Reading Room to mark this special occasion.  It included all the material Friends' Trustee, Helen Rowe, had carefully researched over the past five years about the nine local men who died in the Great War as well as the stories of the 47 military personnel buried in the Commonwealth War Graves section of our churchyard.
