Members of South Wiltshire Ramblers 'Heavy Gang', have today been working on a local footpath known officially as SALS 6 *, under the direction of Alex Howson, Wiltshire Council's Rights of Way & Countryside Officer. Wiltshire Council provide all the materials and Alex ensures that the work undertaken by the volunteers is carried out in a safe manner and to the required standard.

The wooden stile which proved too high or difficult for some people to use, has been replaced by a kissing gate. Meanwhile other members of the working party cut back overgrown undergrowth and hedging on nearby SALS5 *.
