We do hope that you will join us at our

6 July Summer Sunday Café, which will be open from 2.30pm until 4.30pm in the Reading Room, Stratford Road, SP1 3LL

(opposite St Lawrence Church).

Proceeds will be donated to Swindon Mentoring and Self-Help Youth Project, who have a presence at Salisbury District Hospital, mentoring young people aged 11 to 25 and encouraging them to access the community and take control of their health and wellbeing.

Once again, our famous cream teas, savoury alternative and delicious cakes, all homemade, will be waiting to tempt you, as well as our popular seasonal garden & kitchen produce stall, and our pre-loved book stall.

Cash payments only please.

Your contributions of any produce items and paperback novels would be appreciated. Use contacts listed below to arrange, or bring items along on the day at the start of the café.

Also, we are always happy to welcome new volunteers (male & female) to join our team to help out with the cafés, therefore, if you would like more information about what’s involved, please do not hesitate to contact me, or have a word with me at one of our cafés.

Report of our June Café

There was a good turnout for our 1 June café, generating proceeds of £482, which has been donated to Salisbury & District Talking Newspapers.

The main purpose of our cafés is to provide the opportunity to get together for a chat and, especially for new residents, to get to know your neighbours. We were pleased to welcome some new customers as well as some returning customers and, of course, our regulars who come along to all our cafés. Many thanks to everyone for their support.

We all look forward to seeing you at one of our great summer Sunday cafés.

Barbara Mayall – Café Co-ordinator  (Tel: 01722 411337)
