Our summer season finished on a high in September with a great turnout despite the gloomy weather. In fact, the friendly atmosphere created its own sunny feel and smiling faces.
Once again, we had many compliments about the fantastic range of cakes on offer. Our seasonal produce table with plants, fruit and veggies, was boosted by a generous donation of jars of 'Mawarden Court Honey', which was much appreciated.
The record-breaking September proceeds, totalling £547, will go to our Community Defibrillator funds, which will ensure we can keep offering more training courses over the next couple of years, on how to use the equipment.
May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for continuing to support the cafés, whether it is helping, donating items or coming along to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and delicious cakes, after all, it couldn’t happen without you.
LOOKING AHEAD - We will of course be holding our Lunchtime Festive Christmas Cafe on Saturday 7th December, so make a note in your diary to join us then.
