The anemometer reading (pictured) shows a wind speed of 92.5 mph recorded at the top of Salisbury Cathedral's spire on Sunday 9 February.
The exact timing isn't known but it was sometime before 12:06 when this informative tweet and image were published. Residents might recall a strong blast here in Stratford sub Castle at around 11:45 which was accompanied by hail, thunder and torrential rain.
Storm Ciara blew down several small trees in the area, blocking footpaths. This one was spotted on the Monarch's Way east of Salterton, and has been reported to Wiltshire Council.
