Speedwell at Easter

The Speedwells tend to grow along paths and are saying "Speed You Well", "God’s Speed" or wishing a safe journey to travellers.
In the churchyard here at Easter they remind us of Christ’s journey to the cross and their generic name reminds us of Veronica, a woman of Jerusalem who gave Jesus her head cloth to wipe his face as he bore the cross to Calvary, leaving an impression of his face on it.
Happy Easter everybody !
