A Service of Remembrance will begin at 10.00 am in St Lawrence Church on Sunday 12 November. The congregation will move outside to the Cross of Sacrifice for the traditional two minute silence at 11 am. Afterwards, refreshments will be served in the Reading Room.
Poppies have been arranged in the church porch and on the screens between the nave and the chancel.
In St Lawrence Churchyard, the graves of forty-seven WW1 Commonweath soldiers, one WW1 nurse, and two WW2 soldiers are looked after by the War Graves Commission.
We also remember nine WW1 servicemen from Stratford sub Castle who lost their lives and are buried elsewhere.
