Original News Item 22 October 2020
An attempt by Wiltshire Council to prohibit vehicles from using Gradidge Lane was abandoned in July 2019 after an objection from a trail bikers group.
The Prohibition Order has been revised and a new Order issued on 22 October. If implemented, cars, vans and lorries would be banned but motor bikes permitted - as they are now but never seen by this editor who walks Gradidge Lane almost daily. It's highly probable that the fly tipping which takes place quite frequently occurs when a car/van/lorry is driven into the lane and prohibition of these vehicle may help to deter fly tippers. *
Full details of the Order can be viewed in the documents below.
Comments in favour of, or against the Order should be sent to Wiltshire Council, Traffic Order Team, Sustainable Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge BA14 8JN or email TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk quoting reference LJB/TRO/SALSpmv. Comments must arrive by 16 November 2020 to be considered.
