UPDATE 4 November - The projections are to continue throughout lockdown "as a message of encouragement to all who see them".

Original Story 29 October

Salisbury Cathedral is joining a number of cathedrals across the country to light up the skies as 'a beacon of hope during these difficult times'. The project, Light of Hope 2020 has been created by Peter Walker, the artist in residence and creative director at Lichfield Cathedral to mark the significance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day and is supported by Arts Council England.

Salisbury’s spire will be illuminated from All Saint’s Eve (Saturday 31 October) until All Souls’ Day (Monday 2 November), with intersecting light beams rising from the Cathedral roof to form a pyramid around the famous landmark.
