Engineers from Openreach continue to replace cabling in Stratford sub Castle as part of the programme to enable Salisbury to become the first UK city to benefit from a full-fibre broadband rollout that is expected to be completed by March 2020.
Today an on-site engineer confirmed that the current work is to "Provide fibre to the premises". The answer to the question "Will we lose these overhead cable runs and poles?" has unfortunately been given as 'No'.
Householders are to receive information leaflets about the new broadband speeds and availability shortly.
