To mark the 800th Anniversary of the Laying of the Foundation Stones of the Cathedral Church of New Sarum, there will be a digital Service of Thanksgiving available to view on the Salisbury Cathedral website on Tuesday 28 April at 11 am.

Prayers will be led by the Canon Ed Probert and the Revd Sarah Wood-Roe, Priest at St Lawrence, Stratford sub Castle (parish in which Old Sarum is located).

The service will include a dramatized account of the move from Old Sarum and the foundation of the new Cathedral, recorded by the Cathedral choristers with the Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam, playing Osmund, the first Bishop of Sarum.
