Chalke Valley History Show - virtually

News from the Chalke Valley History Festival team

"It is, of course, a very great shame that Covid-19 has scuppered our plans this year, but since you’re unable to visit the Daily Mail Chalke Valley History Festival this coming week, we thought the Festival should come to you instead, straight to the comfort of your own home. Top historians, award-winning authors, TV and radio favourites, stonemasons, Iron Age blacksmiths, explorers, Peaky Blinders, smugglers, RAF legends, WWII tanks and more will feature in the nightly Chalke Valley History Show.

Filmed on location in the gloriously sunny Chalke Valley and around southern England, the shows will hopefully remind you of all the fun and excitement to be had at the History Festival, as well as bringing a flavour of what we’d originally planned for this summer.

Each day of the Festival week, starting tomorrow Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th June, we are delighted to present the Chalke Valley History Show, which will be broadcast for free on our website at 7.30pm every evening.

See our website programme for the full daily line-up."
