August Summer Café

Update - Review

What a busy café we had, just like old times, with a great friendly atmosphere and good result. The weather couldn’t make its mind up, which meant the garden seating was outside in the sunshine, then it came inside when it rained, then it was outside again, but stayed there when it rained some more and just the people came inside. However, people weren’t put off and some even stayed until after closing time. I think we can say ‘a good time was had by all’.

The proceeds of £432 have been donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

We do hope that you will join us at our next café open from 2.30pm until 4.30pm on Sunday 6 August at the Reading Room for what promises to be another enjoyable afternoon with all the usual kinds of goodies on offer. Our famous cream teas and delicious homemade cakes will be waiting to tempt you, not to mention our kitchen & garden produce and preloved books, plus some freebies for the children. Please note that we can only accept cash payments.

Whilst we do not require any further contributions to our book table, we would welcome any contributions of kitchen/garden produce, please contact Liz Waterman Tel: 01722 335691 regarding produce.

Our last café of the season will be on 3 September when we should have plenty of seasonal produce. Proceeds to be donated to Headway, Salisbury & South Wilts. To keep you up to date, café information is available in the monthly Parish Magazine or any time here on the village website, and on our village noticeboard.
