St Lawrence Church

The Church plays a big part in the village and its picturesque setting means it plays host to many functions, especially weddings and christenings, in addition to its normal services.

The Parochial Church Council oversees the running of the church and sub-committees are responsible for The Reading Room (Village Hall), Church Fabric and Charitable Giving. The Friends of St Lawrence has been set up to ensure that funds are available to maintain this important village asset

In 2002 English Heritage made St Lawrence, St Thomas's and the Cathedral, the only churches in Salisbury with Grade 1 listed Building status.

St Lawrence has joined the Small Pilgrim Places Network.

Small Pilgrim Places are Christian spaces which lend themselves to quiet prayer and reflection.
St Lawrence is open between the hours of 10.00 am and 4.00 pm for this purpose. There is a special pew with some prayer resources available. For more information about the Small Pilgrim Places Network, click the logo above (opens in new window).

St Lawrence Church has its own website. Click here to visit the St Lawrence Church website
