Successful Quiz Evening

33 people took part in the latest of a series of Quiz Evenings run by Terry Ereira and David Balston.  The aim was to organise a sociable and entertaining local event on Friday 23 February and also to raise funds to keep the financial side of this Village Website going.

The many kind comments from people who participated confirmed that it was a friendly and enjoyable occasion, so on that basis alone the evening was a success. Additionally, sufficient monies were raised to cover our contract to a company who 'host' the website and for 'Domain' costs to register the name for the next twelve months.

Quiz Master Terry once again expertly set the questions, some of which were judged to be easy, some taxing. There were exclamations of 'Oh Yes!' when some answers appeared.  Here's a sample of a couple of the 'Salisbury & Stratford' round questions:

Q 4 Who is this well known past resident of Stratford?  What is she best remembered for?

Q 6  According to local legend, in which decade did Stratford get a gas supply?

Many thanks to all those people who bought tickets, made donations, or helped in other ways to make the evening such a success.
