Stratford Christmas Café

17 Nov 2017
By Barbara Mayall

I wouldn’t want you to miss out on this year's Christmas Café, so this is a last minute reminder to come along and join in the festive atmosphere on Saturday 9 December in the Reading Room.

The doors will open at 11am for morning coffee and will remain open through lunch time when we will be offering a choice of five fabulous homemade soups, as well as bread, cheese, pate and chutneys, until 2.30 pm

Mulled Wine, beverages, stollen, mince pies and shortbread/biscuits will be available throughout.

Our produce table will be selling homemade jams, chutneys, mini Christmas cakes and some festive items, plus a raffle for your chance to win a ‘Festive Foods Hamper’ and other prizes.

Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier!!

Anyone wishing to contribute items for the produce table can still do so. Either contact me to arrange or bring items along on the day for opening time.

May I take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support during 2017. The proceeds from the four Summer Cafés amounted to £1358, which meant that four charities each received a considerable boost to their funds.

The proceeds from the Christmas Café will be put towards funding a defibrillator for the community, so look out for further details in due course in the Parish Magazine and here on the Village Website.

All good wishes for 2018.
