Inquiry date for Footpath Diversion fixed

19 Oct 2017

A public inquiry has been called to hear the matter of a proposal to divert a footpath in Stratford sub Castle.  The Southern Area Planning Committee voted to accept the proposal in April 2017, despite one objection from a member of the public. The Planning Inspectorate based in Bristol reviewed the case and decided to open up the Public Inquiry process.

Our earlier news item published in May described how there are currently two routes through the field from points behind Dairy Cottage towards St Lawrence Church.

Offical notices can be viewed on line by clicking here (Planning Inspectorate - Access to the Countryside - opens in a new window.)

The inquiry will be held on Tuesday 23 January 2018 in the Reading Room, starting at 10 am and it is open to anyone who has made an objection or representation and anyone else with an interest in the Orders to attend.
