Follow up to the Historic Graffiti talk on 16 March

If you attended the talk about Historic Graffiti so ably presented by Jamie Ingram yesterday evening, you will recognise this particular example (right) which formed part of his presentation.

Jamie pointed out that someone's name appears to have been gouged out of the stonework. Here on the village website you can read an article relating to this mystery, which puts forward a case for the name that was removed to have been J. Carter, a former church warden.
