Stratford Guild - December 2017

Festive decorations in the Reading Room set the scene for a relaxed and friendly Christmas Social Evening, attended by 47 Guild Members.

To start off the evening, Richard Death and Terry Ereira entertained us with a two-man sketch featuring 'Richardo', a mind-reader. The Maestro was not always under the control of his Producer but at times did seem to know what was in our minds better than we did!  Members showed their appreciation with much laughter and hearty applause.

Heather Platt and Mary McGill had spent the morning shopping for the buffet food, which they later arranged into a most attractive display. Their delicious and generous selections met all tastes and appetites and members making return trips to the buffet table was evidence of how much it was enjoyed.

After the quiz prizes were drawn, the evening was concluded with an enthusiastic rendering of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'.  Click here to see more photos of the event.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 10 January when our guest speaker, Phil Whitemore, will give a talk entitled 'Apollo 13 - Mission Failure or Mission Success?''.
