This safety plan is a summary of safety actions within the
Reading Room building and site. It has been designed by RR
Engineer, reviewed by RR Secretary, and adopted by minuted
decision of the RR Management Committee. It is designed to
meet the needs of daily users and to be reviewed after 5 years.
Meanwhile, comments are invited from users and PCC members.
Since safety and legal measures are complementary they have
been addressed in one document. 'Significant Hazards' are
defined as unwanted events with a conceivable occurrence rate
of at least one per year.
