Paintings of Old Sarum through the ages

We are privileged to be able to present some paintings by Peter Dunn, an English Heritage artist, showing Old Sarum at various times throughout its history
Ordnance Survey's connection with Old Sarum

Did you know that Old Sarum was one end of the very accurate baseline used by Ordnance Survey in 1794 to map southern England?
Wild flowers of Old Sarum

The clearance of the woodland on the slopes of Old Sarum has allowed the reintroduction of sheep. Their grazing has, in turn, led to a re-colonisation of the rings by some chalk grassland flowers. Click this link to see a picture taken in July 2005.
