Broadleaf Plantation
{Photo}

Broadleaf trees are essentially "non conifers", so even trees that have fairly narrow leaves, such as Weeping Willow, are classified as Broadleaf. In our Parish, the main Broadleaf Trees that appear to be in plantations (nice regular, straight lines) are Poplars, but there is an unusual plantation bordering the Water Meadows by the road to Little Durnford - it seems to be a mixed plantation of Poplars, Willow, Birch and other species, if anyone knows how and why this plantation was planted, we would be delighted to record the details here
